Instrument | Monument
A monumental show that transforms sites, works of art and architecture into giant musical instruments.
Creation 2003
- Site-specific music show
- Duration : variable
- Capacity: up to thousands of people
- All audiences
Each “Instrument|Monument” is a unique creation whose essential source of inspiration is the site itself, its sounds, its scenographic qualities, its memory.
In this large-scale site-specific music performance, the spectator is immersed in the architecture revealed by sound, and the limits between choreography, theater, physical theater and instrumental gesture fade…
Instrument|Monument was commissionned by the French state. It received the support of the French Ministry of Culture, the DICREAM, SPEDIDAM, AFAA – CulturesFrance, the Manège – Scène nationale de Reims, Atelier 231, Lieux Publics, Le Fourneau, Le Parapluie, and l’Espace Périphérique Paris-Villette.
With the help of La Cellule and the trust of Act’Art 77, le Festival de l’Oh, la Principauté de Monaco, Artrafic and Paris Town Council.
The company recommends that you listen with headphones to get the most out of the sound work.
