A new playful sound trail is about to begin, and requires your ear to be attentive to the beautiful sounds of Aubervilliers: “Listening Along Four Paths.” (Écouter par Quatre-Chemins)
This trail was conceived following the initial creation of “La Place des Beaux sons “The Square of Beautiful Sounds” (La Place des Beaux-Sons), which was joyfully and officially inaugurated on the 21th of June.
The aim is to bring the listening zone of La Place des Beaux-Sons, and its dedicated listening point, to life throughout the year, so that the square truly becomes a public space devoted to listening — a place where people can learn to appreciate and enrich the soundscape as a genuine shared resource.
The Écouter par Quatre-Chemins trail invites you to explore Aubervilliers’ soundscape, its curiosities, its ecology, and the sonic “signatures” that give this neighbourhood its distinctive identity. The experience includes guided walks and listening activities, additional ground markings, a mural, and the permanent installation of “legends” — interpretive plaques combining tourist information and educational content — unveiled at festive launch events.
Next special event : Saturday 19 September at 10:30 am, as part of the European Heritage Days.
Starting point : La Place des Beaux-Sons, 1–3 rue Emma Chenu, 93300 Aubervilliers.
